If you have a transconjunctival blepharoplasty, where pockets of fat underneath your lower eyelid is removed by making a small incision in the lower eyelid. There is no scar once healed, but the procedure is better suited for younger patients who have thicker, more elastic skin.

How Much Does Blepharoplasty Cost?

The cost for blepharoplasty varies with each patient, as it is common to have this procedure with other cosmetic surgeries. After Your Blepharoplasty

Overall, the healing process is fairly quick, and you will be fully recovered within a couple of weeks. It is common to have some discomfort and other effects around the eyes which can be treated with prescription eye drops, ointments, and medications to help alleviate them and even aid in the healing process.

One week after surgery, we remove the stitches, but you may still have some redness, which goes away within a few weeks. The redness can be covered up with makeup while it diminishes.
When you come for surgery, please make sure you have someone with you to drive you home, as you are under anesthesia during the procedure and may have some vision impairment immediately after the surgery is complete.

Getting Back to Normal Following Blepharoplasty

It typically takes about two weeks of healing before you may return to work. While there still may be redness, it is easily covered with makeup. Be very careful about exposing the areas to sunlight with tinted glasses or dark eye protection.
