Thigh Lift Dallas
Do you want to lift, reshape, and re-proportion your thighs by safely removing and tightening excess skin along the thighs and buttocks? Charles A. Wallace, M.D., board-certified plastic surgeon, can perform a thigh lift for Plano and Frisco residents, including patients from anywhere in the greater Dallas, TX area.
What Is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift, or thighplasty, is very often performed after a patient has undergone significant weight loss. This procedure often involves removing loose skin or excess fat that was resistant to diet and exercise. In some instances, a thigh lift may be used to help thinner patients who want to get a thigh gap and a shapelier look.
Dr. Wallace can help you feel great about your new body by removing excess skin and fat and creating a smoother and firmer thigh area. Dr. Wallace will take the time to listen to and understand your motivations for the procedure and how you envision the ultimate results.
From there, together you can determine what the best treatment for your new body should be. We will make sure that you understand and feel comfortable with what to expect before, during, and after your surgery.
The Best Candidates For A Thigh Lift
For people who have lost a lot of weight or those who have sagging skin on their thighs because of aging, Dr. Wallace can perform a thigh lift. A thigh lift can provide a more toned and taut appearance.
Sometimes, Dr. Wallace may recommend that liposuction be done at the same time if considerable excess fat needs to be removed from the area as well. If you have unwanted fat and loose skin on your thighs, or if you want to get a thigh gap, you may be a great candidate for a thigh lift.
How to get a Thigh Gap?
A thigh gap is simply the space between your upper thighs. Some people have one naturally, due to their body shape or the size of their thighs. Others would like to get a thigh gap, both for cosmetic reasons and to reduce the discomfort felt when the thighs rub together.
In most cases, diet and exercise alone aren’t enough to help you get that coveted space between your thighs. If you have loose thigh muscle and skin, as well as excess fat, a thigh lift with Dr. Wallace may be the very best way to get the shape of a thigh gap that you want. Call and set up your consultation now to find out more about how you can get a thigh gap.
What to Expect with Thigh Lift Surgery
Thigh lift surgery with Dr. Wallace is performed under general anesthesia. You will notice an immediate and dramatic difference in the amount of sagging and loose skin around your thighs, buttocks, and groin. You can also utilize thigh lift surgery to get a thigh gap.
Preparing for Your Thigh Lift Surgery
Schedule your consultation now with Dr. Wallace and discuss your thigh lift goals, including getting a thigh gap. Together, you and Dr. Wallace will plan a course of treatment to help you achieve your aesthetic and functional goals so you can feel great about your body.
The Thigh Lift Procedure
Thigh lift surgery is an outpatient procedure that takes up to two to three hours. You will be given general anesthesia or “twilight” sedation.
Dr. Wallace will make an incision at the junction of the inner thigh and the pubic area. He can then remove excess skin and fat and tighten the remaining skin.
After the surgery, you will have two drainage tubes in place, and these will be removed one to two weeks after surgery. The tubes are needed to remove excess fluid that your body produces in response to surgery.
After Your Thigh Lift Surgery
Dr. Wallace will prescribe pain medication for a few days after your procedure is done. You can expect to see some minor swelling and bruising in the weeks after the procedure, which will disappear over a few weeks.
Dr. Wallace will advise you about how long you will need to take off work. It is likely to be at least a week but will depend on the nature of your procedure. Dr. Wallace will also advise you to refrain from strenuous activity, including running and other types of exercise, for four to six weeks.
Getting Back to Normal Following Your Thigh Lift
As you get back to normal and your recovery progresses, your results will start to emerge as the swelling subsides. Scars are generally minimal and well hidden by clothing. Cosmetic therapies, such as laser, may minimize the visibility of any scars. Most patients see the final results from their surgery within 12 months.
How Much Does A Thigh Lift Cost?
Once Dr. Wallace has determined the best approach for creating your desired thigh contours, your procedure details and the associated price will be reviewed with you. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express® and Discover®. We also provide financing options via Prosper® Healthcare Lending.
