Covid 19 Update

From the Office of Dr. Charles A. Wallace

Dear Valued Patient:

Dr. Charles A. Wallace is committed to working with our compliance department, operations teams, and physician leaders in the monitoring of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our team Is working diligently to be proactive in maintaining the safety of patients, employees, and physicians. Please be advised that we are closely following all CDC recommendations, and protocols are being implemented daily as new updates are made available.

While we take this situation very serious, our plan is to remain fully operational, and we will continue to provide our patients with quality care helping them heal.
We will continue to have the safety and well-being of our patients and staff as our top priorities. Below are the following steps Dr. Wallace and staff are taking to protect everyone:

Patient Visitors:

– Patients will be asked a series of screening questions at the time of scheduling and again when you arrive. – We are asking that any patient with a fever, cough, or other respiratory symptoms reschedule at a later date. – In order to reduce the number of items touched by patients, we are asking that you fill out your information on-line at www.drwallace.com. You can always call for assistance. – Patients have the option to wait in their vehicle instead of the lobby to reduce unnecessary contact with others.

Cleaning of the facility:

– Mobile devices, chairs, door handles, light switches will be wiped down with registered hospital grade disinfectants after each use. – All common areas will be wiped down with registered medical grade disinfectant every two hours. – Patient exam rooms will be disinfected after every patient encounter, (which we have done for 30 years).

Employees:

– If an employee appears to have acute respiratory illness symptoms, they will be immediately sent home, and the clinic will be sanitized to mitigate any possible exposure. – Staff will be asked to practice meticulous hand hygiene, also we trust no one will take offense at our decision to avoid handshakes.
