FACE LIFT SURGERY DALLAS
Dallas is home to many outstanding surgeons. There is not just one way to do a face lift anymore than we all have the same face. The operation has to be customized to each and every individual and there is not one key that fits every lock. Meticulous panning, perfect execution and individualization of every part of every procedure is necessary to get a good face lift and that is the specialty of many Dallas surgeons.
NEOGRAFT HAIR TRANSPLANT
The neograft technique for hair transplant, also known as single follicular unit extraction, has brought hair transplant results and technology to the standards of twenty first century plastic surgery. We are proud to be the only Board Certified plastic surgeon in the Southwest offering this technique and have enjoyed excellent results on all of our patients, and that includes me, Dr. Wallace. I had the procedure done about a year ago and just wish that the technology had been available sooner. Come visit with us and we will share with you the reasons we are so excited.
PLASTIC SURGERY DALLAS
Dallas has long been blessed with a plastic surgery community offering excellence in virtually every area of plastic surgery. Dallas had many medical centers and a huge number of Board Certified plastic surgeons. Dr. Wallace has been in active private practice in Dallas now for 22 years. He went to Medical School here and indeed is a native of the area, and is a respected member of the local plastic surgery community. His practice is not one defined by anatomic area, but rather by a commitment to excellence in both cosmetic procedures, as well as reconstructive surgery of the face and hand.
BREAST RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY
Reconstruction of the breast after cancer became popular in the 80’s after being developed in the 70’s as an outgrowth of the development of the silicone breast implant that was originally invented in Houston in 1962. Many different techniques are available depending on a woman’s build, the status of the opposite breast, whether radiation is part of the treatment plan, and a variety of other factors. A detailed consultation must be had to determine what technique offers the best outcomes, the greatest benefits with the least risks for any individual patient. A very natural result can be obtained in most cases. Those who have had previous surgery can frequently be improved upon if necessary.
ULTRASONIC LIPOSUCTION
Ultrasonic liposuction was new to the United States in the 90’s and has taken its place as one of the many techniques of liposuction that we use in different situations. Ultrasonic energy can emulsify fat before it is extracted and offers advantages in many different situations. Unlike laser liposuction, which has yet to be proven particularly worthwhile, the ultrasonic apparatus is very specific for emulsifying fat and has adequate power to be useful in many different situations. We have the ultrasonic machine at all liposuction cases and use it selectively to get the optimum results for every patient.
FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION SURGERY
Facial reconstructive surgery is a broad area of plastic surgery that really was the beginning of plastic surgery. Whether the damage is from a car accident, cancer surgery, or other trauma or illnesses, a skilled plastic surgery can rebuild a nose, rebuild eyelids, or indeed in some medical centers now completely rebuild a face with a transplant, if needed. While that is the most drastic of facial reconstructive surgeries, plastic surgeons are the go-to-specialty in every regard for this.
BREAST LIFT
Breast lift, also known by the term mastopexy, involves reshaping the breasts in such a way as to provide the youthful perk that is sometimes lost with weight changes, age, and child bearing. Many different techniques exist due to the wide variety of breast architecture and geometry. In your consultation, Dr. Wallace will recommend the technique and combination of procedures that best suit your particular needs, and that may or may not include a breast implant as part of the procedure. If you are happy with the size of your breasts in a bra, then you probably do not need an implant. I cases of mild sag, it is possible that an implant alone will provide adequate lift. There are many different combinations that are possible and a proper consultation with Dr. Wallace is the only way to get the answers you need to make an educated decision.
GYNECOMASTIA
Gynecomastia surgery is the surgery that involves correcting the overly developed male breast. While this may occur due to a hormonal imbalance, most cases are of unknown cause, though some drugs, marijuana, and some hormone imbalances can be a factor. Liposuction plays a major role in most gynecomastia surgeries, though in extreme cases, something resembling a breast lift with skin excision is necessary. Dr. Wallace can go over the options and expected benefits with you. This is almost always a day surgery procedure and results are routinely excellent.
COSMETIC SURGERY
Cosmetic surgery became accepted in the 70 and 80’s as an outgrowth of the excellence developed in facial reconstructive surgery in earlier decades. Many of these advances were also due to the advances in anesthesia that made routine elective surgery feasible. While cosmetic surgery is performed mostly by plastic surgeons, many other specialists have tried to get in on the business with lesser degrees of training. We, as plastic surgeons, feel that our training is the gold standard for cosmetic surgery procedures and feel that anyone considering cosmetic surgery should find a surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
